Most entrepreneurs don’t need more marketing ideas!

They need marketing consistency, the kind that builds authority, fuels visibility, and compounds over time.

According to Statistics Canada, more than 60% of Canadian entrepreneurs say time pressure is one of their top stressors. And inconsistent marketing is a major contributor.

It’s not that they don’t know what to do.

They’re just too buried in day-to-day chaos to do it consistently.

Most small business owners are still running their business like it’s year one. Systems live in their head. Leads arrive through personal effort, referrals, or luck. Consistency becomes impossible.

And that was me years ago.

This is why the last two Ps inside your Revenue Growth Engine matter so much:

Process and Promotion. They turn random visibility into real velocity (which means you can market less but profit more!).

If your business can’t run without you for a week, you don’t own a business, you own a job.

Process is how you change that.

PROCESS: The backbone of marketing consistency

Process is simply a set of repeatable marketing systems that allow your business to show up consistently, whether you’re in the office, travelling, or sitting on a beach in the Caribbean sipping prosecco.

Ask yourself:

  • Do you have a repeatable process for publishing content every week?
  • Is there a documented flow for following up with every new lead?
  • Could someone on your team publish your newsletter or social post without you rewriting everything?

If the answer is no, your process isn’t broken; it’s nonexistent. Here’s how to start putting into place a marketing ‘system’.

1. Document your marketing rhythm from visibility to conversion.

Content → Captivate/lead generation → Engage/say yes → Cultivate/nurture → Convert → Sale

You need to document your process for taking your client through their journey with you.  It might look something like this….

I speak at an event (Signature Talk – content)

I offer a lead magnet (lead generation)

They opt in – Engage – saying yes.

They receive my weekly blog/newsletter (Cultivate/nurture)

They receive an invite to join me for a workshop i.e. Start Strong 2026.

OR

I speak at an event (Signature Talk – content)

I offer a CEO Strategy Call with me (lead generation)

They book the call – Engage – saying yes.

They receive some valuable educational content prior to the call (Cultivate/nurture)

During the call, they receive an invitation (convert) to join my CEO Freedom Mastery program.

What does your marketing rhythm look like?

2. Automate the parts of marketing that require zero creativity, such as:

  • Weekly content outlines
  • Lead follow-up sequences
  • Book-a-call reminders
  • Event promo reminders
  • Evergreen nurture emails
  • Repurposing prompts
  • Scheduled posts

When it comes to my newsletters, blogs and social media, it’s my VA that turns my Word document blogs into web-ready blogs, posts them on my website, schedules the blogs to be posted on social media, and publishes my newsletter, all from the content I created!

3. Delegate the steps of marketing that don’t require you.

You don’t need to:

  • Upload content
  • Turn livestreams into newsletters
  • Schedule posts
  • Pull analytics
  • Create graphics
  • Prepare promo plans

When your marketing runs on systems instead of emotion, consistency becomes a habit. Visibility turns into momentum. Momentum turns into profit.

Okay, now that you have your PROCESS for your marketing outlined, it’s time to talk about the promotion part!

PROMOTION is visibility with strategy

Promotion isn’t about shouting louder or doing more. It’s about saying the right thing, to the right people, in the right place, consistently.

According to CFIB, 42% of small businesses rely on referrals as their only marketing channel. Referrals are fantastic, but they aren’t predictable.

We’re also living in a “trust recession.” AI-generated videos and images make people skeptical. This means your biggest marketing job now is simple: show up consistently and authentically.

Here are 3 steps for your promotion**:

1. Pick your primary visibility channel. If we are talking social media, then it could be…

One for authority (LinkedIn)

One for connection (Facebook)

One for conversion (email)

 2. Pick your cadence — and make it non-negotiable.

One weekly email outperforms random bursts.

 3. Match your content to the buyer’s journey.

Captivate → Engage → Cultivate → Convert

(** During my upcoming Start Strong planning day, one of the bonuses is going to be my Marketing Promotion Matrix)

But why do these 2 Ps (Process + Promotion) matter to your growth? Because you can’t scale visibility if your backend collapses when volume increases.

Imagine running a successful campaign… your inbox fills with inquiries… but because you don’t have a clear process, you spend weeks chasing leads and momentum dies.

This is how opportunity becomes overwhelming.

A quick story about a client, we will call Rachel. She had a consulting business, and although she didn’t struggle with leads, she struggled with consistency. Marketing disappeared every time she got busy.

We built a 90-day content rhythm, templated posts, automated follow-up, and delegated scheduling.

In 10 weeks:

  • Her visibility doubled
  • Her calendar stabilized
  • She landed three high-value clients

All because she built a marketing engine.

Let’s Diagnose Your Systems:

  1. What’s the most repetitive marketing task you’re still doing?
  2. What is the ROI on your individual marketing efforts?
  3. How consistent is your marketing output?
  4. Which parts of your  marketing depend entirely on you?

Action Step: Systemize + Commit

*Choose one Process and one Promotion to systemize this month

Process example:

Document your content creation cycle and delegate one step.

Promotion example:

Choose one channel and commit to weekly consistency for 90 days.

You can’t scale chaos. You can only scale what’s simple, strategic, and structured.

After Christmas, I’ll share the second half of your Revenue Growth Engine, through Captivate, Engage, and Cultivate, your customer’s journey.

Remember: Freedom isn’t a fantasy.

It’s built one system, and one smart decision, at a time.

Yes, You Can Do This,
Diana
