Sonya delivers a calm and confidence-inducing consult to a great diversity of clients and situations. For her it’s an honour to work with new, new-again, or soon-to-be parents, tailoring baby feeding care to each.
For over 25 years Sonya has supported best practice, working with mothers and babies, as well as professionals. As a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a Registered Nurse (RN) in various roles such as public health, nursing in Canada’s far north (Yukon), as a birth doula, and as an independent IBCLC, she has the fortunate background of having worked with parents in the whole childbirth continuum from pregnancy, labour and delivery, to postpartum.
Her heart’s desire is for mothers to receive compassionate and evidence-based care so they can achieve their baby feeding goals.
