Popping a bottle of champagne for no special reason is one of my life’s simple pleasures. I pull the bottle out of the wine fridge and carefully unwrap the wire and the foil. Next, I carefully twist the cork out…. well at least that’s what’s supposed to happen.
But sometimes the cork just won’t come out. I twist it and turn it and … nothing. It’s stuck!!! Then I go and get a pair of pliers to gently ease the cork from the bottle without it exploding.
Well, your business might be like that stubborn cork – it’s blocking the flow of the champagne. Perhaps something is blocking the flow of your revenue and profit. At least mine has been like that on more than one occasion.
It happens to every business! It’s a normal occurrence. Sometimes it’s caused by market changes. Sometimes it’s changes in our own life or what we want from life. But our business can feel that it’s not flowing; just like a stuck cork.
Then we often spend time guessing…where is it stuck or stalled?
