Marketing is hard — so I’ve been told time & time again.  But is that really true?  I think entrepreneurs, sales professionals and small business owners make it much more difficult that it needs to be.  I’m a firm believe in the K.I.S.S. principle (keep it simple silly) and much of my life is lived that way.  Marketing can be made simple.

I’ve discovered 7 reasons why you might find marketing hard — PLEASE, let me know what you think.  

#1 Reason marketing is hard — because you keep saying it’s hard!!!  Yup – if that’s your mindset, and you keep telling yourself over & over again that something is difficult, that’s right — it’s going to be!  Now, I’m not a marketing guru or a mindset guru!  I was raised by a mother who said — “there is no such word as CAN’T”; so we just did!  I believe it’s the same for marketing.

You are an expert at what you do (whether it’s coaching, selling real estate, or making widgets)!  Right?  You are the expert!  If you can become an expert real estate agent, then you have that mindset to become an expert marketer!  Believe it.  As a real estate agent, you are already good at meeting with people; face-to-face is one of your strengths.  So now, let’s use your strengths by doing more face-to-face whether it’s networking events, taking prospects to coffee, or simply just getting out there.  You have now just learned how to ‘market’ yourself using your strengths — feels good right?  You can do it.  Other examples might be — if you are writer, then use your strengths to market yourself such as blogging!  You get the idea.

Just learn to use your strengths and marketing can be made simple.  Stay tuned for some other reasons why marketing is so hard!
