The reason I teach sales is because it was a skill that I had to learn … and there was a mindset SHIFT that I had to embrace!  So I understand that if you are new to entrepreneurship or have been an entrepreneur for a while but you’re stuck at an income level you don’t like — it might be because you have to learn a new skill and/or have a mindset shift.

Here are 3 tips on how to SELL without selling your soul:

  1. SHIFT your emotions/mindset from selling to helping!  That’s right.  A simple mindset shift to remember is that people need your product/program to solve their problem.  You are denying them the solution if you don’t offer them your program.  In other words, you are HELPING them!  Oh, people can tell whether you really care about them or whether you are just selling them something to make money — it’s the energy you bring!  (more on that at #SHIFT).
  2. Don’t mention your product/offer for at least the first 15-20 minutes!  YUP — it’s more important to learn to ask questions about their problem and then LISTEN.  God gave us 2 ears and one mouth so we could listen twice as much as we talk!!  Make absolutely certain that you understand your prospects needs before you even mention what you have for sale.
  3. Have a product/program that is packed full of value and is extremely irresistible for the price that you sell it.  In other words, it’s not about the time you spend with the client but the value that you offer.  Pack your programs with tons of value (not features, value!)
  4. BONUS TIP — Use a ‘grounding sentence’ that you say to yourself or during your enrolment conversation … something like  “it seems that we agree you need help with ____________.  I want to make sure you get that help whether it’s from me or from someone else.”
