You Deserve to Earn a Sh*t Ton of Money (And Other Things Women Don’t Believe)
You didn’t start your business to play small.
To hide. To be invisible. To apologize for taking up space.
And yet.
What Female Founders Actually Want
After coaching hundreds of female founders, I’ve seen the same three desires show up again and again.
They want to make an impact. To solve a problem better than anyone else. To build something that genuinely changes people’s lives, not just fills a slot in their calendar.
They want freedom. A business they run. Not one that runs them. The kind where they can take a Tuesday afternoon off without the whole thing wobbling.
They want to make real money. Not “enough to justify the effort” money. Real, substantial, this-is-a-serious-business money.
And here’s where it gets interesting.
Most female founders I know are crystal clear on the first two. Impact? Absolutely. Freedom? Yes please. But the third one, the money one, that’s where the hesitation lives.
The Apology Problem
Over and over, I hear women undercharging. Discounting before anyone even asks. Throwing in extras to “make it worth it.” Feeling vaguely guilty for wanting more.
Let me be real with you: that’s not humility. That’s a habit. And it’s costing you.
Here’s what I know to be true: you deserve to earn a sh*t ton of money.
Not someday. Not once you have more testimonials, a prettier website, or a bigger following. Now. With the expertise, the experience, and the results you’re already delivering.
Remember: price determines the client. When you undercharge, you don’t attract grateful clients who value your work. You attract clients who question your value at every turn. Raising your prices isn’t arrogance. It’s alignment.
The Accidental Entrepreneur Who Stopped Playing Small
Some of you started your businesses almost by accident. A skill you had. A problem someone needed solved. A “little something on the side” that quietly grew into something real.
And somewhere along the way, you stopped treating it like a real business. You kept the scrappy pricing from the early days. You kept saying yes to work that no longer fits. You kept waiting for permission to charge what you’re actually worth.
That permission isn’t coming from somewhere else. It has to come from you.
One of my clients, Sara, came to me feeling completely scattered and out of control. Like she was doing everything right but somehow still spinning. In our very first conversation, something shifted.
“I realized that I’m the CEO of my business,” she told me.
Not the admin. Not the doer. Not the one who says yes to everything because she’s afraid to say no. The CEO.
That one shift changed how she priced, how she positioned herself, and how she showed up. Not because her business changed overnight. Because she did.
