Let me ask you something uncomfortable.

If you disappeared, totally unplugged from your business for 30 days or even 2 weeks, what would break first?

If that question just made your stomach drop, keep reading.

Because that feeling isn’t anxiety.

That’s your business telling you the truth.

Here’s what I want you to know: you haven’t failed.

You’re stuck.

And those are completely different problems with completely different solutions.

The diagnosis most business owners never get

Think about what happens when something’s off with your health. You don’t guess. You don’t try every remedy you see on Instagram. You go to a doctor, get a proper diagnosis, and then you fix the actual problem.

Your business deserves the same treatment.

Most women I work with have been treating symptoms for years. Hiring another VA. Launching another offer. Posting more on social media. Trying the funnel someone swore would change everything. And still, nothing fundamentally shifts. Because tactics don’t fix structural problems.

What you need first is a diagnosis.

That’s exactly what I built the Bottleneck Test to do. Five areas. Five honest questions. And by the time you’ve run through it, you’ll know precisely where your business is stuck and what it’s quietly costing you.

Five bottlenecks. Most founders have two or three.

Here’s the simplified version of the test:

Bottleneck One: Vision. Do you have a written three-to-five year vision for your business? Not in your head. Written down. If the answer is no, or “sort of,” every shiny object looks like an opportunity. A confused founder doesn’t just spin her wheels — she spends money, time, and energy on things that quietly move her backward.

Bottleneck Two: Revenue Growth Engine. If you stopped all activity for 60 days, would qualified leads still come in? If the answer is no, you don’t have a Revenue Growth Engine. You have a treadmill. And you can’t step off it. That feast-or-famine cycle isn’t bad luck. It’s a design flaw. (BTW – notice I said ‘leads’, not referrals!!  There’s a difference.)

Bottleneck Three: 90-Day Planning. Look at last week’s calendar. How many hours were spent on strategic thinking, building systems, developing your offers? If the answer is close to zero, you’re managing your business. Not leading it. Those are different jobs.

Bottleneck Four: CEO Leadership. When’s the last time you took a real vacation? Not a working one. Not “I checked email from the pool.” A real one, where your business ran without you for five full days (or more). If that’s never happened, or if the honest answer is “it would fall apart,” the business can only grow as fast as you’re willing to get out of the way.

Bottleneck Five: Support Growth Engine. Your team, your tech, your systems. A business that runs on your memory and your improvisation is one illness, one family emergency, one vacation away from chaos. You haven’t built a well-oiled machine yet. You’ve built a job that only you can do.

So. How many of your own bottlenecks could you identify?

One means you know exactly where to focus. Two or three means you’re solidly in what I call the Growth Trap, the most common place I find experienced, successful founders.

It’s fixable.

But it requires a structural solution, not another tactic.

The doctor has the diagnosis. Now it’s time to fix it.

Here’s where the analogy holds: a diagnosis without treatment is just expensive information.

On September 25th in Smiths Falls, I’m hosting a one-day strategic intensive called SHIFT. The subtitle says everything: shift from the woman who built the business to the one who leads it.

This is where we take your bottleneck results and build the actual fix. Not theory. Not a workbook you’ll never open. It’s about getting clarity on exactly what needs fixing and in what order; and then the confidence to begin the process the very next morning.

I work 2.5 days a week and earn six figures. Not someday. Now.

With a business that is simpler, more profitable, and more aligned with my life than when I was grinding five full days.

I didn’t write that story from a book. I lived every stage I just described. And I redesigned my way out.

By the end of SHIFT, you’ll have clarity on exactly which activities to keep and which to eliminate, and a clear picture of how to design your business to run without you at the center of every decision.

Not so you can retire. So you can choose.

Leaders choose. Operators react.

If you recognized yourself in two or more of those bottlenecks ….

If you are tired of being the Chief Everything Officer …..

And if ready to actually lead, this day was designed for you.
