A couple of weeks ago, I got an email from a former client who reached out asking for help – she was ‘in the weeds’! She was feeling overwhelmed and didn’t know what to do next.
Can you guess her problem?…
Although this client knows her ideal client and their pain problems, the marketing that they have been doing hasn’t brought them the leads they wanted, so this means something has to change.
After reflecting on her problem, I realized a couple of things:
- Her business sells to other businesses (B2B) while many of you sell business to consumer (B2C) – and the marketing for each is somewhat different.
- While she does sell B2B, people like to do business with people! Her buyer (and yours) wants to know who they are purchasing from. People buy from people.
So, how can you build stronger relationships with your potential buyer?
How can you increase their trust in you?
An interesting statistic from Inc.com, says 84% of people trust online reviews as much as they trust their friends’ and family’s opinion!!
So what does that mean for you and your business?
If you are looking for a new fridge or set of tires, what do you do? Well, you might ask your friends for recommendations but I’m guessing you would also go to Google and look for brand reviews and recommendations.
Well – your clients are doing the same thing when they are looking for a lawyer to write their will, an accountant to do their year-end taxes or a financial advisor to place their new inheritance.
It means that online reviews such as GOOGLE REVIEWS can play a huge part in building trust with your potential buyer thus helping them choose YOU over your competition.
I think it’s part of the marketing pie that we often forget about.
That’s why this week’s podcast episode is all about a simple, step-by-step process to get more 5-star reviews for your business!
The more positive Google reviews your business has, the more trust you are building with your potential client and the more likely they will choose your firm over one that doesn’t have great reviews.
When will you start adding Google reviews to your marketing?
YOU CAN DO THIS
P.S. BTW – This former client of mine has booked a VIP Day with me to solve her marketing problem. You too could use a VIP Day to solve one specific problem for you (more information here).
